Job Responsibilities:

Responsibilities:

  • To oversee and manage the hospital’s facilities, equipment and building systems effectively and comply fully to hospital policies. To ensure a safe and conducive Environment of Care (EOC) for patients, visitors and staff is provided for at all times. 
  • To assist the Manager and lead Facilities Management and Facilities Maintenance staff to provide excellent service standards for Facilities Management and Safety that meet Joint Commission International (JCI), ISO, Ministry of Health (MOH) and all regulatory standards. 
  • Perform routine inspection and maintain all Mechanical and Electrical, Building and Operational Technology Systems. 
  • Assist FM department to collate, update and input MDOTs information (Operation Technology) 
  • Formulate Work Instructions (SWI) on the implementation and governance of the OT devices. 
  • Raise and follow up on deviation process and approvals 
  • Oversee general building maintenance works such as network upgrading, troubleshooting and rectification for Extra Low Voltage (ELV) related works. 
  • General maintenance works to non-clinical equipment such as gyms equipment, asset servers, localised management systems and supporting networks governing FM systems. This covers all Operational Technology (OT) devices. 
  • Oversee any new/upgrading/renovation works or projects in the hospital. 
  • Attend breakdown / service calls. 
  • Maintain proper equipment history records, logs and keep documents updated. 
  • Raise request for quotation for replacement parts, make recommendations and put up purchase requisitions. 
  • Perform contractor and vendor management including the checking of fulfilment of contractual requirements and compliance to medical devices and operational technology security (MDOTS) policies. 
  • Maintain proper inventory of service parts, network spares and other end of life items that require order placement and Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA). 
  • Assist the vendor on Testing and Commission new facilities equipment. Update and maintain operating and service manuals. 
  • Oversee and manage Repairs & Renovation (R&R) and Addition and Alteration (A&A) works safely and competently. 

 

 

Requirements:

  • At least a Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical / Information Technology / Computer Engineering with 5 years of experience or Degree in Electrical / Mechanical / Information Technology / Computer Engineering. Knowledge in operating IT software applications and system architectural conceptualisation. 
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification preferred. 
  • Information Technology (IT) knowledge on Wide Area Network (WAN) and other associated IT fields such as 
    • Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) 
    • Internet Protocol (IP) 
    • Media Access Control (MAC) 
    • Network Interface Controller (NIC) 
    • Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol (RSTP), etc.
